I’m just now finishing up a huge binge of Daredevil reading, beginning with Kevin Smith’s relaunch of the series and going to the present. Now, there are certainly stretches of years where his faith isn’t *mentioned,* but it’s definitely never been *undermined,* and it becomes explicit during important moments (like, Shadowland, the huge event arc that preceded the current run, ended with Matt in the confessional). And Matt always remains in character a very believable, rarely stereotypical, kind of cultural Catholic, who has a complex relationship with his face, that sometimes is strong and sometimes is not (including in what I’ve read of the current run).
Sorry anon, but speaking as a Catholic reader, I really don’t see what you’re seeing.
